Andhra Chilli Chicken

Recipe Brief Description : Andhra style dish is very spicy and extremely popular all over South India, just called Andhra Chilli Chicken.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken – 100 grams (cut into cubes)
  • Onion – 1 no. (chopped into slice)
  • Corn flour – 2 tbsp
  • Kasturi Methi – 1 tbsp
  • Mint leaf – ¼ cup
  • Coriander leaf – ¼ cup
  • Green chilli – 2-3 nos.
  • Curds / Yogurt – 2-3 tbsp
  • Garlic & Ginger paste – 1 tbsp.
  • Garam masala – ¼ tbsp
  • Dhaniya powder / Coriander powder – ½ tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tbsp.
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Pepper powder – ¼ tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 3-4 tbsp

    Cooking Time: 20 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • Clean and cut the chicken into cubes.
  • For grinding add mint leaf, coriander leaf and chilli and grind it into a fine paste.
  • Heat a pan add oil, onion and fry well till light brown add garlic, ginger paste, dhaniya powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, curds and grinded paste and fry well.
  • Now to the frying content add kasturi methi and chicken and salt to taste and add enough of water to cook the chicken.
  • Once the chicken is cooked add the corn flour mixed with water and add to the chicken and stir it well, it comes into thick gravy.
  • Finally, garnish with pepper powder and chilli.

    Spicy Andhra Chilli Chicken is ready to eat. Serve hot.
