Balushahi

Recipe Brief Description : Balushahi is an Indian sweet which is quite famous. It is a traditional sweet.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Maida - 4 cup
  • Curd - 1/2 cup
  • Butter - 2/3 cup
  • Baking soda - 1/2 tbsp
  • Sugar - 3 cup
  • Oil for deep fry
  • Pista - 2 tbsp (chopped)
  • Almonds - 2 tbsp (chopped)

    Cooking Time: 45 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • In a bowl add flour, baking soda, curd, butter and mix well.
  • Add enough warm water to make a dough of rolling consistency, as we prepare for paratha and keep aside covered for 30 minutes.
  • Divide it in 12 equal lemon size ball and make it round with your palms and press in the middle.
  • Heat oil in a pan on low flame, add this flour balls and fry till they turn golden, keep aside.
  • In a separate pan heat 1 1/2 cup of water, add sugar and mix well and make thick sugar syrup. Turn off the gas and put the Balushahis in it.
  • After soaking for 3-4 minutes take them out and place them in plate. Garnish with pista and almond.
