Besan Murukku

Recipe Brief Description : A traditional south Indian crispy snack, made with besan flour.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Besan flour – 1 cup
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep fry
  • Water

    Cooking Time: 15 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • Take a bowl add besan flour, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, salt to sate and 2tbsp oil (add heat oil to make is crispy).
  • Add water a little at a time and form into a thick paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan. When oil is hot, take some of the murukku mix, put it into a mould.
  • Now, press from mould into to the hot oil. Fry until it turn golden brown.
