Bombay Sagu

Recipe Brief Description : Its very tasty and goes with every thing. Plain rice, chapathi, poori, dosa, idli or roti.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Potato – 2 numbers (boiled)
  • Onion – 1 number (chopped)
  • Tomato – 1 number (chopped)
  • Coriander leaves – 1/2 bunch (chopped)
  • Green chilies – 3-4 (chopped)
  • Curry leaves - 2 number
  • Gram flour - 1 tbsp
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Black pepper - 1/2 tbsp (crushed)
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
  • Hing - 1 pinch
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

    Cooking Time: 20 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • Heat oil in a thick pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Once they start spluttering add onion, green chilies and curry leaves. Fry until onion becomes translucent than add tomato and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Now, add hing, turmeric, salt and mashed potato and add 1/2 cup water boil for 5-10 minutes.
  • Take gram flour in small cup and make paste by adding water with out lumps.
  • Now, mix in this paste to sagu pan and lower the heat and cook for about 10 minutes. While cooking keep stirring in between.
  • Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
