Recipe Name: Bombay Sagu
Recipe Main Ingredient: Potato
Recipe Brief Description : Its very tasty and goes with every thing. Plain rice, chapathi, poori, dosa, idli or roti.
Potato – 2 numbers (boiled)
Onion – 1 number (chopped)
Tomato – 1 number (chopped)
Coriander leaves – 1/2 bunch (chopped)
Green chilies – 3-4 (chopped)
Curry leaves - 2 number
Gram flour - 1 tbsp
Oil - 3 tbsp
Black pepper - 1/2 tbsp (crushed)
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Hing - 1 pinch
Turmeric - 1/2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Heat oil in a thick pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Once they start spluttering add onion, green chilies and curry leaves. Fry until onion becomes translucent than add tomato and fry for 2 minutes.
Now, add hing, turmeric, salt and mashed potato and add 1/2 cup water boil for 5-10 minutes.
Take gram flour in small cup and make paste by adding water with out lumps.
Now, mix in this paste to sagu pan and lower the heat and cook for about 10 minutes. While cooking keep stirring in between.
Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
