Recipe Brief Description : This is a protein packed dish which is very easy to make. Sundal or Usli can be eaten with chappatis or as a snack by itself. It is one of my favourites. This is a continuation of the Gowri Ganesha Festival.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Kabuli Chana / White chick peas – 50 grams
  • Onion – 1 no.
  • Chilli – 2 nos.
  • Coconut – ¼ cup (grated)
  • Coriander leaf (chopped)

    Cooking Time: 15 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • Soak channa overnight and wash the soaked channa 2-3 times in a water and cook with enough of water adding salt to taste.
  • Take a pan for seasoning using oil, mustard, curry leaf, chilli, onion fry well till light brown and add the cooked channa and mix well with salt to taste.
  • Finally, garnish with coconut and coriander.
    Very delicious Kabuli chana usli is ready to eat.
