Recipe Main Ingredient: Chicken and Onions
Recipe Brief Description : Traditional dish for non-vegetarian served with rice and ragi ball.
Chicken – 500 grams.
Green Chilli – 5-6.
Red chilli powder – 2 tbsp.
Ginger – 1 inch.
Garlic – 5-6 cloves.
Turmeric – 1 tbsp.
Corriander Leaves – 1/2 cup.
Pudina/mint Leaves – 1/2 cup.
Cloves - 3-4 pieces
Cinnamon - 1 inch pieces
Dhania/coriander powder - 2 tbsp.
Poppy seeds - 1 tbsp.
Tomato - 1 no.
Fresh grated coconut - 1/4 cup.
Salt for taste.
Onion – 2no.
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Clean the Chicken pieces well and drain all the water thoroughly.
Fry all the ingredients in a pan with 1tbsp oil (chilli, ginger, garlic, corriander leaves, pudina leaves, cloves, cinnamon,turmeric,onion,tomato)
Grind all the fried ingredients along with poppy seeds and grated coconut.
Heat oil in a Kadai/Pan fry chopped onion and then chicken.
Add the grinded masala to chicken, salt to taste and add enough of water.
Cook for 10 minutes until chicken is well cooked
Add water and boil it again if required.
