Recipe Brief Description: A very good and tempting starter for parties or kitty parties and a healthy snack for kids. Corn Rolls are crispy, golden brown bread rolls stuffed with corn mixture.
Corn - 1 cup (par boiled and crushed)
Corn - 1/2 cup (par boiled)
Potato - 4 number (boiled)
Corn flour - 2 tbsp
Bread slices - 3-4 number
Garlic - 5-6 pods
Ginger - 1 inch
Green chili - 3-4 number
Amchur powder - 1/2 tbsp
Sugar - 1/2 tbsp
Black salt - 1/2 tbsp
Black pepper powder - 1/2 tbsp
Red chili powder - 1/4 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup (chopped)
Salt to taste
Oil for deep fry
In a large mixing bowl, mash the boiled potatoes, crushed corn and whole corn kernels.
Crush garlic, ginger and chilies in a mixer and add to it.
Add finely chopped coriander and the seasonings. salt, black salt, sugar, black pepper powder, red chili powder, amchur powder and mix well.
Add the corn flour and bread slices or bread crumbs and combine the same well.
Make small balls out of it and press the tooth pick into it like a lollipop.
Heat oil in a vessel and deep fry them on high heat till golden brown. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or coriander mint chutney.
