Recipe Name: Dal Palak
Recipe Main Ingredient: Spinach, Split green gram
Recipe Brief Description: Spinach dal curry is wonderful combination. This dish is an easy to prepare.
Onion – 2 number (chopped)
Spinach – 2 bunch (finely chopped)
Tomato - 2 number
Split green gram – 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
Ginger – 1 tbsp (chopped)
Garlic – 6-7 cloves
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Green chilies – 3-4 numbers
Turmeric powder – 1 tbsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Salt to taste
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Cook moong dal with half the turmeric powder and asafoetida till soft.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, garlic, ginger, green chilies and stir for few second. Add onion and stir till onion turn to brown in colour.
Now, mix in spinach and stir for half minute. Add turmeric, dal and mix well.
Add one cup water, salt and stir. Add lemon juice just before serving.
