Papaya - 2 cup (peeled and cut into small pieces)
Apple - 1 number (peeled cored and cut into small pieces)
Chikku - 3 numbers (peeled and seeds removed)
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder – 1/2 tbsp
Ghee – 1 cup
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Heat 2 cup of water in a thick bottomed pan. Add all the fruits pieces. Cook on medium heat, mashing the back of a wooden spoon so that the fruit pieces become pulpy.
Add sugar and cook on low fire, stirring from time to time so that the sugar melts. Add cardamom powder and mix gently.
Now, start adding the ghee a little at a time and keep stirring. Use up all the ghee and when the halwa has started to give out a fine aroma and the ghee floats on top it is time to put off the heat.
