Recipe Name: Gulab Jamun

Khova – 1 cup (home made or store bought)
Maida – 1/2 cup
Milk – 3 tbsp
Baking soda – 1 pinch
Oil for deep fry
Ghee - 3 tbsp
For Sugar Syrup
Sugar - 1 1/2 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
In a bowl add maida and baking soda and mix with khova slowly. Add little tbsp milk for mixing. Mix completely to get smooth dough and fill the bowl with cold water till the dough is completely immersed and keep it aside for 20-30mins.
In the mean time start making sugar syrup. Mix in sugar, water and cardamom powder and boil it. Turn off the heat when the sugar syrup becomes sticky.
Now, Drain the excess water from the dough and mix the dough again. Now, dough will become so soft.
Make small ball from the dough and roll them to smooth round balls. (If needed apply little ghee on the palms while rolling)
Now, heat oil in a pan in medium flame. Fry jammu balls in medium flame till it turns to brown colour. If we use high flame, the outer layer will become brown soon and inside it won’t boil.
Put the fried balls immediately to the sugar syrup.
