Recipe Brief Description : This is a simple dish tastes great with hot Indian flat breads. This is a delicious vegetable and side dish filled with lot of onions coated with tomato based dry gravy and spices.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Bell Pepper yellow and green – 1 cup (chopped)
  • Coriander leaves – 1 bunch
  • Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds powder - 2 tbsp
  • Curry leaves - 7-8 numbers
  • Garam masala - 3/4 tbsp
  • Ginger- garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli - 4 numbers
  • Oil - 4 tbsp
  • Okra - 400 grams (chopped)
  • Onion - 1 cup
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Tomatoes - 1 cup (chopped)
  • Turmeric - 1 pinch

    Cooking Time: 30 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • Heat oil and deep fry bhendi to avoid stick ness.
  • Take a pan add oil cumin seeds churched, chopped onion, salt to taste mix well and add turmeric, ginger-garlic paste, cook it for 2mins and then add curry leaves, green chilli stir them.
  • Now, add tomatoes cook it for 1mins, then add coriander powder, cumin seeds powder, chilli powder mix well and cook for 4mins till tomatoes are cooked.
  • Now, add bell pepper and sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and fried bhendi, mix little bit and close it a lid for 4mins in a very low heat. Once bhendi is cooked add garam masala powder and mix well and serve hot with roti or rice.
