Kadalekai Chutney

Recipe Brief Description : Kadalekai chutney is one of the varieties in chutney. Kadalekai / Groundnuts / Peanuts are good sources of many essential Vitamins and Minerals.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Peanuts / Groundnuts / Kadalekai – 1 cup
  • Coconut – ¼ cup (grated)
  • Dry red chilli – 4-5 nos.
  • Tamarind a pinch
  • Garlic – 2-3 pieces
  • Salt to taste

    Cooking Time: 10 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • Heat a pan add peanuts / groundnuts / kadalekai and fry till golden brown. Keep a side for cooling, once it is cool peal out the groundnuts.
  • Take mixer grinder add the coconut, dry red chilli, tamarind, garlic, salt to taste and pealed out groundnuts / kadalekai add enough of water to grind it. (coarse grind / like rava)
  • Take a bowl add the grinded mix. (if required can season it.)
    Very tasty kadalekai chutney is ready to eat. Serve with chapatti, dosa, idly or any of your choice.
