Recipe Ingredients

  • Maida flour - 2 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 4 tbsp
  • Oil for deep frying
    For the Filling
  • Coconut - 1/2 cup (grated)
  • Sooji - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts - 3 tbsp (chopped)
  • Almonds - 2 tbsp (chopped)

    Cooking Time: 45 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • First, rub the ghee in maida well. Now make dough that is too soft by kneading this flour with clod water.
  • Heat 2 tbsp ghee and roast the grated coconut for 5 minutes. Take out coconut and roast the sooji in the same vessel.
  • Powered the sugar and mix in sooji, coconut, cardamom powder and dry fruits in a bowl.
  • Now, make a small balls and thin puris of dough and fill the above mixture. Fold the stuffed puries so as to form a half moon and seal well. Deep fry this puries and serve hot.
