Mango Pachadi

Recipe Brief Description : Raw mango chutney cooked with jaggery.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Raw mango – 1 numbers (cut into cubes)
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Green chilies – 2 numbers
  • Jaggery – 1/2 cup (grated)
  • Rice four – 1 tbsp
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

    Cooking Time: 15 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • Cut mango, without peeling, into small pieces. Heat 2 cup water in a non stick pan and add mango pieces, turmeric powder and green chillies and mix well. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add jaggery and mix well. Cover again and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add salt, rice flour with ¼ cup water.
  • Heat oil in a small non stick pan and add mustard seeds. When the seeds splutter add the tempering to the mango pachidi.
  • Cover and cook for 1-2mins. Cool and serve at room temperature.
