Recipe Brief Description : Masala akki roti made using carrot, onion, coriander leaves, chilies, cumin seeds. One can also add methi leaves, dill leaves.
Rice flour – 2 cup
Onion - 2 number (chopped)
Carrot - 1/4 cup (grated)
Chilies - 4-5 numbers (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves - 1 bunch (chopped)
Methi leaves - 1/2 bunch (chopped)
Dill leaves - 1/2 bunch (chopped)
Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
Chana dal - 1 tbsp
Ground nut - 1/4 cup (dry roasted and peeled)
Turmeric - 1 pinch
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Coconut - 1/2 cup (grated)
Salt to taste
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Mix rice flour, onion, carrot, chilies, coriander leaves, methi leaves, dill leaves, coconut, ground nut, cumin seeds, chana dal, turmeric, knead the dough with salt and warm water.
Now, in a plastic sheet, spread a thin layer of the dough to make roti.
Heat tava and apply ghee. Keep the roti on the tava with the plastic side up. Slowly take out the paper and roast the roti on both sides. Serve hot.
