Methi Malai Paneer

Recipe Brief Description : Methi Malai paneer is Indian delicious gravy cooked with paneer, methi and with light spices.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Fenugreek leaves – 3 cup (chopped)
  • Paneer – 1 cup (fried)
  • Onion – 2 cup (chopped)
  • Tomato paste – 1 cup
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp
  • Garlic - 3-4 cloves
  • Asafoetida - 1 pinch
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Chili powder - 1 tbsp
  • Kasoori methi - 2 tbsp (dry)
  • Kitchen king masala - 2 tbsp
  • Amchur powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Cashew nut - 1/2 tbsp
  • Almonds - 2 tbsp
  • Milk - 3-4 tbsp
  • Cream - 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

    Cooking Time: 30 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • Soak cashew nuts and almonds in a milk for 10 minutes and blend it to a paste.
  • Heat oil/ghee in pan and add a pinch of hing, finely chopped garlic. Add onion and a little salt and stir until onion turn to golden brown. Now add tomato puree, turmeric powder, chili powder, kitchen king masala powder. Cook for few minutes and add amchur powder and 2tbps kasoori methi by crushing. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes over medium heat.
  • Add fresh methi leaves, salt and stir until it shrinks. Add little water and cook for another 5 minutes. Add fresh cream and when it starts boiling add cashew nuts and almond paste and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add 1 tbsp of kasoori methi and fried paneer. Add some water and let it cook for 3-4 minutes. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with hot roti.
