Recipe Brief Description: Onion chutney is a great accompaniment to dosa, idly. Its very common side dish in South Indian.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Onion – 2 number (chopped)
  • Curry leaves – 1 bunch
  • Tamarind - 1/2 lemon size
  • Sambar powder – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

    Cooking Time: 15 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan add onion, curry leaves, cumin seeds and fry until onion turn to brown colour.
  • Cool it, and add tamarind, sambar powder, salt and grind to a thick paste without adding water. Now, onion chutney is ready to serve.
