Recipe Name: Onion Kulcha
Recipe Main Ingredient: Wheat flour
Recipe Brief Description : Onion Kulcha made with wheat flour and stuffed with onion, spices. Cooked on a tava or thick griddle and brushed with ghee.
Wheat flour – 2 cup
Onion – 2 number (chopped)
Green chilies - 2 number (chopped)
Mint leaves – 1/2 bunch
Ginger – 2 tbsp (chopped)
Ajwain - 1 tbsp
Red chili powder - 1 tbsp
Pomegranate seeds powder - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Knead wheat flour with salt and water to make stiff dough and keep aside for 1 hour.
In a bowl mix all the remaining ingredients to make the stuffing.
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and make small balls. Roll each ball into a small round and place some stuffing in the middle of the rolled ball. Fold the filled rounds and press the edges together to seal the dough. Roll out the kulcha with a rolling pin using dry flour as required preventing it from sticking.
Place the kulcha on a plate and put it in microwave to grill 10 minutes on both sides or fry it on tava once and roast them directly on stove. Once remove from stove apply ghee on kulcha. Enjoy hot Onion Kulcha with chana or chole.
