Recipe Brief Description : Plain Dosa a popular South Indian dish and can be enjoyed with sambhar, chutney or any vegetable curry.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Rice – 3 cup
  • Split black gram – 1 cup
  • Salt to tast
  • Fenugreek seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Oil/ghee/butter as required

    Cooking Time: 10 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • Soak rice, Black gram and fenugreek seeds for 4-5hrs.
  • Then grind them to a fine thin batter by adding little water.
  • Add salt and keep it aside for 6-7hrs for fermentation.
  • Now, heat a non stick tawa and spread 1 tbsp oil/ghee or butter on whole of the pan.
  • Now, spread this batter on tawa in a round shape and apply oil around dosa and cook another side. Serve them hot with sambar or chutney.
