Recipe Brief Description : Ridge gourd is very healthy
Ridge gourd – 250 grams.
Potato - 1 or 2.
Chilli – 5-6.
Pepper corns – 2 tbsp.
Ginger – 1 inch.
Garlic – 5-6 cloves.
Turmeric – 1 tbsp.
Dhania powder - 2 tbsp.
Corriander Leaves – 1/2 cup.
Pudina/mint Leaves – 1/2 cup.
Cloves - 3-4 pieces
Cinnamon - 1 inch pieces
Onion – 1no. (chopped)
Tomato - 1no.
Coconut - 1/4 cup (grated)
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Chop the ridge gourd evenly as u like small or medium and likewise potato, keep it aside.
Add all the ingredients for grinding (chilli, ginger, garlic, pepper corn, red chilli powder, corriander leaves, pudina leaves, cloves, cinnamon, tomato, dhania powder, grated coconut, turmeric powder)
Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry the chopped onion, with chopped ridgegourd and potato.Fry for 2mins.
Add the grinded masala to the vegetables, salt to taste and add enough of water.
Cook it for 10 mins.
After it is cooked add water if required and boil it.
Yummy and healthy ridge gourd chops is ready to eat.
Serve hot with rice or chappati.
