Recipe Name: Split Green Gram Thove
Recipe Main Ingredient: Moong dal
Recipe Brief Description: This Moong Dal recipe which served with any kind of flatbread of a comfort food.
Split green gram – 1 cup
Onion - 2 numbers (chopped)
Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tbsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Curry leaves – 2 numbers
Coriander – 1/2 bunch (chopped)
Coconut - 2 tbsp (grated)
Green chilies - 3 numbers (chopped)
Garam masala - 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric - 1/2 tbsp
Red chili powder - 1/4 tbsp
Salt to taste
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chopped onion, green chilies, curry leaves, salt and stir for 1mins. Now, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala.
Now, mix in split green gram, stir and add 2 cup water close it with a lid and cook till the split green gram is tender.
Once the split gram is tender garnish with chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut.
