Tomato Raita

Recipe Brief Description : Cooling chutney of tomato and yogurt.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Onion – 2 numbers (chopped)
  • Tomato – 3 numbers (chopped)
  • Coriander leaves – 1/4 cup
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tbsp
  • Curry leaves - 2 numbers
  • Mustard seeds – 1/2 tbsp
  • Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt – 2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Cumin seeds powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1 pinch

    Cooking Time: 15 minutes

    Preparation Method:
  • Boil tomato in water. Cool and remove the peel and mash.
  • Heat oil and fry cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves and onion until they turn brown.
  • To this add garam masala, turmeric powder, chilli powder and mashed tomatoes. Add salt, sugar and half coriander leaves.
  • Cool and then add beaten curd. Garnish with remaining coriander leaves.
