Recipe Name: Tomato Rice
Recipe Main Ingredient: Rice, Tomato, Onion
Recipe Brief Description : Very tasty recipe, and easy to cook for the starters.
Cooked rice – 2 cups
Tomato – 1 no. (chopped)
Onion – 1 no. (chopped)
Garlic – 4 pieces (chopped)
Tamarind juice – 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder a pinch
Chilli – 2 nos. (chopped)
Chana dal – 1tbsp.
Urad dal – 1tbsp.
Groundnuts – 1 tbsp
Jeera – 2 tbsp
Fenugreek / Menthya – 2 tbsp
Coriander leaf (chopped)
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Take a pan add the menthya and jeera fry till light brown color and grind it till it comes to a fine powder.
Heat a pan/kadai for seasoning with oil, mustard, curry leaf, chilli, groundnuts, chana dal, urad dal fry well till golden brown.
To the above fry add onion, tomato fry well till the tomatoes become soft. Now add the menthya, jeera powder, turmeric powder and tamarind juice and fry well till it come to thick gravy. Keep a side for cooling.
After the gravy is cooked add the cooked rice and salt to taste mix it well.
Finally, garnish with coriander leaf.
A delicious tomato rice is ready to eat.
